Multiplayer Rubik's Cube

Race a real person, not the clock.

Free · No signup · WCA scrambles · Plays on your phone

Most "online Rubik's cubes" are solvers or single-player simulators. CubeArena is different: it's a real-time multiplayer game where you race an actual person. Tap to find a random opponent or send a friend a link, and you'll both be dropped into the same live race.

Every match uses one shared scramble and a synced start, so you're genuinely competing on equal footing. You can see when your opponent is present and racing, and the moment someone solves, the round ends and the winner is shown. It's the head-to-head energy of a speedcubing meetup, in a browser tab.

No signup, no install, and it plays just as well on a phone as on a desktop — twist the cube with your thumb or with keyboard shortcuts. Everything's free.

How it works

  1. Pick your opponent
Match with a random player, or invite a friend with a link.
  2. Solve the same cube
Both players share one scramble and a synced 3-2-1 start.
  3. Win the round
First to solve wins; rematch instantly to keep playing.

Questions

Is there a real multiplayer Rubik's Cube online?

Yes. CubeArena is a free real-time multiplayer Rubik's Cube where you race another person live on the same scramble — not a solver or a single-player simulator.

Can I play against a random person?

Yes. One tap matches you with a random opponent who's looking for a game, and you're placed into a live race together. You can also invite a specific friend instead.

Does the multiplayer cube work on mobile?

Yes. It's built for phones — you drag on the cube to twist it — and works equally on desktop with keyboard turns. No app to download.

How much does it cost?

CubeArena is completely free — no account, no signup, and no download required to play.
