You and your opponent get the identical scramble at the same moment, a synced 3-2-1 countdown starts you together, and whoever solves the 3x3 first takes the round. It's a genuine interactive cube — drag to twist on your phone, keyboard turns on a laptop — not a solver or a static simulator.
Because both players race the exact same WCA random-state scramble, the win is decided by who solves faster, not by luck of the draw. The server times both solves and calls the winner, so there's no arguing the result. Lose? Hit rematch and go again.
